Parliament was seen as supreme by English jurist Edward Cook, who believed authority flowed from Parliament rather than divine right or the monarchy./nCook used the example of Parliament not being able to make men women to highlight the limits of its power./nThe distinction between male and female is considered by some to be the most fundamental perceptual distinction./nIf the distinction between male and female is erased, it is believed that other fundamental distinctions may also be undermined./nForcing people to accept the idea that men can be women may lead to the acceptance of other forced beliefs.
