Response to COVID: Protestants vs. Catholics
Protestants, especially evangelicals, found it challenging to bring people back to church post-COVID, unlike Catholics who had no such struggle. This difference is attributed to the Protestant emphasis on the spoken word in the service, which people could access elsewhere during lockdowns, whereas in the Catholic tradition, the central focus on the sacrament of Eucharist drew people back to church easily.
