Lactate Test for Metabolic Syndrome

The lactate threshold is essentially looking at what's the point in terms of power where a power output, so in this case, on a bike. It's zooming in and looking at what fuel you're using during exercise. And interestingly, if you look at people with metabolic syndrome, so poor metabolic health, they will switch from using fat for fuel to using glucose for fuel at a very, very low power output. When you're running off fat, you can typically run a lot longer and you're not producing compounds like lactate, which calls fatigue.
