Happiness is defined as subjective well-being, consisting of three core components: positive affect, negative affect, and life satisfaction. Positive affect encompasses feelings like joy and feeling good. Negative affect is normal, but happy people tend to experience more positive emotions. Life satisfaction involves a reflective judgment on whether one is leading the desired life. An experiment showed significant changes in positive emotions, negative emotions, and life satisfaction.
