Boundaries Are the True Measure of Leadership
Effective leadership, whether in parenting or management, requires establishing clear boundaries rather than seeking to appease others. When individuals, like children or employees, struggle with rules or expectations, a leader's role is not to prioritize their happiness but to reinforce limits while acknowledging their feelings. This approach avoids the pitfall of allowing those being led to overpower the leader's authority. Ultimately, rewards or incentives should stem from genuine desire rather than as compensation for a failure to establish boundaries.
