NOTE

The Parable of Choices and Habits

The concept of opposing forces within us is highlighted, where our decisions—whether to pursue positive habits like exercising or maintain negative ones, such as procrastination—mirror the choice of which wolf to feed. Continuous engagement with a habit strengthens it, making it easier to repeat over time. To create change in our lives, one must actively choose to do things differently, acknowledging that both learned behaviors and genetic predispositions shape our tendencies. While some habits may be ingrained due to societal influences or genetics, it is possible to unlearn them through conscious effort and time. Recognizing our propensities allows us to understand and reshape our habitual responses, signifying that transformation requires deliberate action and commitment.
