The Limitation of Traditional Problem-Solving Tools
Traditional problem-solving tools such as six sigma and root cause analysis tend to focus on digging deeper into the initial understanding of a problem, assuming there is a single root cause. However, this approach is flawed as problems are usually multi-causal with various factors contributing. Believing there is only one true problem can be dangerous, which is why there is a need to refine problem-solving methods to address issues more effectively.
