Predictive Power of Cheerfulness on Job Success
The cheerfulness level of undergrads at age 18 was found to be predictive of their job outcomes at age 27 and 37. The study showed that cheerfulness at 18 predicted job attainment, job satisfaction, and income level. The data challenges the notion that money leads to happiness, suggesting instead that happiness could lead to higher earnings.
