Good Intentions Can Undermine Safety
Habits formed by leaders often originate from good intentions but may inadvertently create psychologically unsafe environments. For instance, a relentless pursuit of efficiency, excessive kindness, or a focus on maintaining consistency can lead to fear of mistakes and reduced psychological safety. Leaders must recognize the distinction between well-meaning actions and those that foster a truly safe space, as good intentions alone do not guarantee effectiveness.
