When we experience upsetting events, our body goes into fight or flight mode, and it's desirable for our body to respond that way but then come back to baseline after the threat is removed./nIt is observed that talking to someone about our upsetting events can help our body calm down and return to equilibrium./nPeople who are more isolated, lonely, and less connected may stay in a chronic stress mode, which can lead to higher levels of stress hormones and inflammation in their bodies./nGood relationships can improve our health while the lack of them can break it down./nUnderstanding that humans are social creatures and we need each other to thrive.
