The Joy of X

Back in 20, i guess it was 20 ten, i think that's whane. I was asked by the up ed page editor of the new york times to write a series about math for just the educated sort of person who's curious about wide range of things. That later grew into the book, the joy of x. But it was always written with the parent in mind. It was meant for adults,. and so there's a lot of references to things that only adults would about literature or philosophy or sports or history or whatever.
