Meat-eaters and vegetarians compared in endurance and recovery tests: Study findings
Meat eaters exercise less and recover slower than vegetarians, according to a study. Sedentary abstainers, mostly physicians, even surpassed exercising flesh eaters in terms of knee bend performance. One athlete performed over a thousand knee bends, but was outdone by vegetarian participants who did double that and then went for a run or nursing duties. The meat eaters suffered more soreness and one even had to be carried away and incapacitated for days after doing 254 knee bends.
