Do hard things: using pain to reset reward pathways

To enhance honesty, it's recommended to engage in challenging activities that reset reward pathways. This concept, called hormesis, suggests using pain upfront for dopamine rather than experiencing pain after pleasure. Such activities include exercise, cold water baths, mind-body work, martial arts, yoga, felden cries, prayer, and meditation. These practices indirectly increase dopamine and restore the pleasure-pain balance.
