Fever helps to kill Colds and Flus

The body's core temperature is linked to susceptibility to cold and flu, and fevers triggered by colds and flus are the immune system's attempt to destroy the viruses. Lowering a fever with medication can potentially allow the virus to proliferate more readily, as fevers are designed to combat viruses.
