Having a daily workout routine is crucial for maintaining mood and avoiding anxiety. For someone with OCD, being able to adapt to changes in schedule is beneficial as it helps in breaking the need for excessive control. Establishing a routine is comforting, but it can create an illusion of control. Disruption of routine, such as through travel, forces resilience and adaptability, reminding individuals of their inherent powerlessness and the need to operate in less controlled environments.
