Our bodies are constantly trying to balance themselves and stay within a certain zone. When we're overstimulated or stressed, we want to be able to down regulate and bring our bodies back to a manageable state. On the other hand, if we're low on energy, we need to up regulate. One effective tool for regulating our state is the breath, which can be used in different ways to achieve the desired effect.
