Achieving flow and creating conditions for it

Achieving flow cannot be directly pursued, but must be approached indirectly by creating conditions conducive to flow. Modern technology and the fast pace of life can hinder the conditions for flow. To achieve flow, it is important to find work that challenges but doesn't overwhelm, eliminate distractions like multitasking, and create an environment that is conducive to deep focus and immersion. Multitasking is particularly detrimental to achieving flow, as it prevents deep concentration and immersion in the task at hand, hindering the state of flow.
