NOTE

How real product teams work

Real product teams in good organizations are led by product leaders who make strategic decisions, define the product strategy, and set the focus areas and bets. These leaders then empower product teams by providing them with a clear roadmap and strategy to work on. Empowerment in product teams does not mean allowing teams to independently decide what to work on, as that could lead to chaos. Instead, it involves giving teams the freedom to figure out the best solutions to the defined problems. Successful product teams consist of serious cross-functional members like engineers, product managers, and designers, who collaborate to solve complex problems effectively. This structure may be perceived as top-down, but in reality, it signifies product leaders and teams fulfilling their respective roles and responsibilities in a cohesive manner.
