Many of us are on autopilot due to socialization and upbringing. We need to shift from 'shoulds' to 'wants'. It's important to have tight feedback windows to understand how ease and love feel in our bodies. Couples therapy involves tracking the energy of love, curiosity, empathy, tension, and fear. It's hard for couples to notice when they've crossed over into tension and fear. Pausing and taking a break can be beneficial for couples to regain a sense of love and mindfulness.
