The Northwest Forest Plan
The forest service, let's say, you know, fifties through seventies, was more or less totally captured by the logging industry. It became to some degree, a sort of bought client of n gos and ecology departments in in, you know,. the big forestry schools and stuff. Um, and the forest service became a preservation agency to some large degree. The northwest forest plan came out in 19 93; Jackward thomas was first ecologist to head it.
