Developing qualities that can't develop fast later
Certain qualities such as peer quickness and reaction speed need to be developed at a young age, as the potential for improvement later in life is very limited. While physical attributes like strength and explosiveness can be improved with training, quickness and initial reaction are traits that are more innate and have a small window for enhancement. This limitation can lead to challenges for athletes, such as point guards being told they can no longer play, not due to physical size but due to inherent traits like quickness and reaction speed.
