Imagination and Fear in the Dark

Our brain forms a game engine to organize feature controllers into objects that track perceptual data in new scenes. In the absence of data, we spawn object controllers, leading to a vivid imagination, especially in children, which fills darkness with many scary objects. Thus, fear of the dark doesn't require a lot of encoding in our brain.
