NOTE

Understanding Stress and Its Control

The cause of stress lies in the perspectives we adopt towards events. Stress is not caused by situations but by the ways we perceive and interpret them. One's response to stress can significantly impact their well-being in the face of challenging circumstances. Recognizing that events are neutral and our interpretations give them significance, can help in reducing stress levels. Stress management can be achieved by questioning the magnitude of stressors and viewing them as inconveniences rather than tragedies. Anticipating stress before it happens and acknowledging that most stressors never materialize, can aid in reducing unnecessary stress. By understanding that events are neither inherently good nor bad, but our perceptions make them so, individuals can lead a less stressful life.
