Embrace Your Worth: Joy Is Your Birthright
Every version of yourself deserves equal love, joy, dignity, freedom, and connection, regardless of your current circumstances or accomplishments. Understanding self-worth, which is distinct from self-esteem, means recognizing your inherent value simply by existing. Self-esteem is based on achievements, while self-worth acknowledges who you are and what you inherently deserve. This distinction is critical, as many people postpone accessing their self-worth until they feel accomplished. However, self-worth is not contingent upon performance; it is pre-determined and unconditional. As human beings, we are entitled to joy and connection at all times. Furthermore, cultivating pleasure is essential because our time is finite. Instead of deferring feelings of aliveness and fulfillment, we should prioritize experiencing joy and pleasure in the present moment.
