Fourier's Utopian Communities in the United States

Fourier developed schemes for communities where members would work based on their talents and passions to turn labor into pleasure. With capital or reason, human conflict, poverty, and misery could be overcome. In the 1840s, 30 utopian communities were established in the United States following Fourier's ideas.
