To prevent glucose spikes after a meal, it's important to move your muscles. This practice has been culturally prevalent for a long time, such as the Postmeal Walk in France. When your muscles contract, they use glucose for energy. By engaging your muscles for 10 minutes after a meal, some of the glucose from the meal is absorbed by the muscles instead of causing a spike.
