When your muscles contract, they use glucose for energy. By engaging your muscles for 10 minutes after a meal, some of the glucose from the meal is absorbed by the muscles instead of causing a spike. Activities like walking, cleaning, playing with your dog, or doing calf raises can effectively help in this process.
