High Expectations Fosters Independence and Responsibility

Setting high standards for kids teaches them responsibility and belonging. When a child receives a zero for not completing homework, they realize the importance of their role in the community. It conveys that their actions matter and that someone cares. By having faith in children's capabilities and holding them accountable, they learn that they are capable of achieving great things independently. Conversely, relying on diagnoses or interventions can make children feel inadequate and dependent on external solutions, diminishing their sense of personal achievement and capability.
