Our evolutionary past has instilled in us a natural tendency to both cooperate and compete with others, influenced by cultural cues. Despite the prevalent emphasis on competition in modern culture, we also possess a potential to expand our sense of self to include other individuals, cultures, generations, and species. By broadening our definition of self in our actions and behaviors, we can navigate towards a more interconnected future where possibilities are emergent and not pre-determined.
