Authenticity exists as an idea and as something that we embody.
The authentic self does exist and the people who are able to access it are by far some of the happiest people in the world.
There is a longstanding debate within psychology about whether we do possess an innate authentic self that is permanent or whether this version of ourselves changes over time.
This week we discuss the psychology of authenticity and how we can discover and therefore embrace our authentic selves. We discuss what it is to be authentic, why we suffer when we are disconnected from our true selves and the daily practices we can incorporate to live authentically, be vulnerable and consistent with our core self and values.
