Resisting the urge to constantly check our phones not only helps in building genuine connections with others but also leads to deeper, more meaningful conversations. It is important to realize that the temporary dopamine hit from our phones is not worth interrupting a conversation. By waiting a few minutes before checking your phone, you may uncover a whole new level of discussion. This practice also teaches us the difference between the long-term joy of a good conversation and the fleeting satisfaction of screen time.
