The Six Aspects of Psychological Flexibility
The six aspects of psychological flexibility are using acceptance, mindfulness, and commitment behavior change processes to experience and learn from thoughts and feelings, to consciously be in the present moment and direct attention towards what is of importance, and to create habits of values based action. These aspects are interconnected and must be used together to form psychological flexibility, which can be simplified into three key aspects: being open, being aware, and being engaged.
