Choosing Presence Over Anxiety
Being present may not always feel comfortable, but it remains a more preferable state compared to anxiety. While anxiety is driven by adrenaline and discomfort, presence is associated with a high dopaminergic state leading to a better sensory experience. Despite feeling nerve-wracking at times, being present is still better than being off track or worrying about the past or future. Anxiety often arises when projecting about the future or fearing failure, while being in a growth zone can bring stress but also a sense of fulfillment. Ultimately, choosing presence over anxiety is a better path for overall well-being.
