NOTE

Understanding the Difference Between Stressors and Stress Response

Stressors are the things that cause stress, such as unmeetable goals, family issues, and financial concerns. Stress, on the other hand, is the physiological response in the body to any perceived threat, known as the fight, flight, freeze response. This response activates the body to deal with the threat like being chased by a lion, engaging all systems towards survival. Once the threat is gone, the body relaxes, and a sense of relief and connection with others is felt.
