Self-care is crucial to prevent burnout, and making small efforts each day can alleviate the need for drastic self-care measures later on. Treating exercise as self-care, even on days when it is hard, can lead to long-term happiness and well-being. Self-discipline is a form of self-love, where one must push themselves to do things that are beneficial in the long run, even if they are initially difficult or unwanted. Indulging in instant gratification is not self-love but self-indulgence, whereas true self-love involves disciplined actions that contribute to long-term success.
