I think it's a lack of any strong attachment to democratic valuess
There was a lot of about facing after january 20 21, when republicans who were shocked by the violence denounced it and then almost immediately began to back away. That has worn away. It's not as though a attachment to democratic valuess is part of our d and a that we can't lose, we can easily lose it. I think some people also have come to understand the usefulness of undermining the rules. They say if you undermine the rules, if you reduce faith in the system, that can be if you're somebody who hopes to take advantage of that lack of trust.
