An allergy epidemic is currently present, and individuals can develop allergies at any stage of life. However, preventive measures against developing allergies, particularly in children, are not being adequately implemented by most. Even treatments exist that can transform life-threatening allergies into non-life-threatening ones. Schools should not ban nuts, as this can limit healthy food options for many children. A common misconception is that avoiding allergenic foods in a child's diet protects them from developing allergies, but this approach is misguided and counterproductive.
