THE ED MYLETT SHOW

NOTE

Emotions Drive Decisions

Emotions play a significant role in our decision-making process, as neuroscientist Antonio Damasio discovered that every decision or action we take is based on our emotional state. Despite claims of being logical thinkers, our decisions are primarily emotionally driven, with subsequent rationalization through logic. Our belief patterns shape our thoughts, leading to specific emotions and subsequent actions. Core wounds like 'not being good enough' can result in negative self-talk, leading to feelings of insecurity or fear, and ultimately influencing our actions or coping mechanisms. Without identifying and reprogramming these core beliefs and fears, our thought patterns can wreak havoc on our daily lives.
