Episode 184:WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU’RE THE PRACTICE MARKETING PERSON? PART 3

Its week 3 of the What to do when you're the practice marketing person 4 part series! For the last 2 weeks, we have covered the general overview of the 3 most important steps to have figured out at the beginning. We then took a deep dive into what inventory you should take of your practice and marketing currently. In today's episode, I am covering how to create your marketing plan and why it is so important to have a marketing plan in place. One of the most important parts of starting your marketing is planning and having a plan in place. Planning out your marketing is extremely helpful and important because  1- Marketing plans set you up for better success  2- Taking the time to plan helps you streamline your time in the future. 3- Allows you to reflect on what has worked and what hasn't worked in the past in your digital marketing 4- Helps you set goals for everything you do Make sure your marketing plan is clear and specific to what exactly you want to do and what to gain from your digital marketing. I personally like to use what is called the 3 +1 method (3 weeks of sales and 1 week of follow up) You take 2 weeks and create content around the topic of your offer and present those content pieces to your audiences, 1 week of running your deal or offer, and the last week following up with your audience. This method helps create urgency for your clients to take advantage of offers that are running. As well as it can help you plan out your whole year of offers and content by breaking down the year into 12 months you can run 12 different offers or specials. Be sure to listen and let me know if you have any questions, comments or need help with anything!

EPISODE 183: WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU’RE THE PRACTICE MARKETING PERSON? PART 2

Last week on the podcast we started the 4 week series of what to do when you're in charge of marketing and we covered the three most essential first steps ( Taking inventory, Planning, and Executing) you need in marketing and covered them in general terms. In Todays Episode we are going take a deeper dive into taking inventory of your practice and its digital marketing so far at this point. As your veterinary practices, digital marketing continues to grow its always important to have an idea of where you are realistically in your marketing and knowing exactly where you are today. The best place to start with your inventory is to understand what you have in terms of offers. To effectively gain new clients and retain existing clients you should probably have about 3 to 4 different offers you can rotate through the year that will bring people into your practice. When thinking about your offers keep in mind: What exactly the offer is? Who you are targeting?  Why do your clients need it or want it? what are the practical and emotional benefits of your offer? Once we have that squared away its time to see what digital assets you have already in place. How do you reach your clients and audience? Get a baseline idea of who you are already reaching and how you can increase those numbers. Next, we have content and content creation. Really take a look at what your strong suit is and your weaknesses in your content creation. The most popular types of content are blog posts, videos, Instagram posts, and facebook posts.  And lastly resources, What resources do you have to work with in your practice. Be sure to listen and let me know if you have any questions, comments or need help with anything!

EPISODE 182: WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU’RE THE PRACTICE MARKETING PERSON

So you are now in charge of the digital marketing in your veterinary practice, but you may be asking yourself what next? For the next 4 weeks, I'll be covering what to do when you are in charge of marketing. Also, the next steps to take to become a great digital marketer for your practice. In today's episode, I will be giving an overview of what you can expect to learn and what I will be cover in this 4 part series. The first thing you want to start off with is having someone who is genuinely interested in marketing to run your practice's marketing or else you could possibly not get the results you want. The first 3 things you need to do before you get started  Inventory- Take an inventory of your site. Make sure your site is easy to navigate, functional and works effectively. Which automations you have, what are your current limitations , and assess the kinds and amount of content you have. While taking inventory you want to figure out all the basic data of who is coming in, what are you putting out, and where you are already in your veterinary practices marketing. Plan-  Planning out your next steps for your content and offers is very important as it keeps on track with your marketing goals you have in place. Plan both your offers and content around your client avatar to make sure you are targeting exactly the kind of clients you want coming into your veterinary practice. Execute- Taking the basic data you collected from inventory and the plans you have based on your goals it is now time to put those plans in motion. Be sure to listen and let me know if you have any questions, comments or need help with anything!

Episode 181: 5 Practical Tips You Can Use To Combat A Slow Down In Your Practice

Slow seasons can hit veterinary practices at any time of the year, some may experience a slow down in summer or even during the winter holiday season.  In today's episode, I share with you 5 Practical Tips you should use when business starts to slow down in your veterinary practice. The 5 things I would suggest doing are 1) Running Paid Ads  The absolute first thing I would suggest doing is to run paid ads for your veterinary practice. Running ads is the best thing to do to bring in new clients to your practice. You want to make sure you are targeting the right kinds of clients and the right kinds of demographics to come into your practice. 2) Building Marketing Systems  One thing beneficial about a slow down in your veterinary practice is that you and your staff have more time on your hands. with your extra time you can now build out important marketing systems to help your digital marketing run better all through the year. building these marketing systems while business is a little slower will make your life and job much easier during extremely busy times. 3)Training Staff and Improving Staff Skills  Training your staff with the knowledge of what specials and offers you are running and also training them on how to make phone sales will go a very long way in your practice 4) Stockpiling Content Stockpile content that is appealing and interesting to your targeted audience. Provide solutions in your content to client pain points and struggles. 5) Brainstorm New Ideas Think of a ton of ideas even if they are crazy or bad and then refine down to the best 10 ideas Be sure to listen and let me know if you have any questions, comments or need help with anything!

Episode 180: Making Your Practices Ads More Effective While Keeping Ad Cost Down.

In Todays Podcast Episode I talk about how to drive your ad cost down and how to ultimately make your veterinary practices marketing and ads more effective. As we are starting to go into the holiday season here we are starting to see seasonal and competition changes coming up, making keeping your ads cost down even more important. These tips I will be sharing in this episode will help you have a great framework for your paid ads and get better cost per results and cost per action. The 3 Things you can do to help lower your ads costs and make your ads more effective are:  1)Having high-quality pieces of content you can mix in along with other content and offers. Like with every piece of content or offer set aside some time to really think about who your client avatar is and who you want to target with your content or offer. Put ads out with intention, think of who your client is, what do they want or need, and why do they need it. Also, think about having a few to up to 12 pieces of pillar content that you can rotate throughout the year. Typically having higher quality content will make for lower cost engagements. 2)Have a great responsive website. Make sure your website is nice looking, easy to use and understand, and has all of your information easy to see. The less time your clients have to take to find your number, address, or hours the better. 3)Build out micro-segments  Retargeting a very small niched audience that is specific to the piece of content or offer will also help drive down your ad cost    Be sure to listen and let me know if you have any questions, comments or need help with anything!
