This week Julia and Josh are joined by Fiona Ellwood. Fiona is a dental nurse by profession and has had an amazing and inspiring career to date. She has held high positions in numerous dental societies, is an international speaker as well as a prolific writer and editor for the Dental Nursing Journal and BDJ teams. She has been involved in a variety of education projects both as a student herself and as an educator, and has advised on several national policies and projects. For this work she has been commended as the first dental care professional to receive an honorary fellowship from the FGDP and received the British Empire Medal for services to dentistry in 2019. Emma started her career as a dental nurse with Ellis Paul who was the godfather of good dental posture and four handed dentistry. She is the chairperson for the Society of British Dental Nurses involved in the production of numerous guidance documents.
