This week is a contrast to last week in many ways. We are sharing a sermon we heard on Sunday by NFL Tight End and Super Bowl Champion, Benjamin Watson. He has had an incredible career in the NFL and he is serious about his faith in Jesus. In this sermon, you will hear no slams against other Christians, just Bible preaching. Enjoy

It has been said that Christians shoot their wounded and sometimes eat their own. Paul said in Galatians 5, "13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another." In this episode we review a sermon by Gavin Flatt where he attacks C.T. Townsend and the Arise Conference, along with everyone who preached there and pastors who sent their youth groups there. This sermon is a rant against another Christian and it is dishonoring to Scripture and the bride of Christ. 

The Sabattical continues for one final week. You gotta admit... that's pretty cool! 

Jon Hollifield and James Safrit of the 4 Freedom Podcast join up in today's episode with Clay Maynard and Josh Johnson of The Young Baptist Podcast to get to The Heart of the Matter... literally... that's the topic of their discussion. Legalism is sometimes relegated to the realm of minor exterior issues, but the truth of the matter is that legalism starts in the heart. It is the heart of man that desires to accomplish his own salvation, add to the Holy Scriptures, and to burden the people of God with rules that God never intended to be invented  or enforced. Grace is the heart of the Gospel and legalism is an attack against God's provision for our sin in Christ.

Scripture defines the office of Elder/Pastor/Shepherd and we are called to submit to the qualifications outlined there. Shanna Dinsmore and Kristen Hargis, hosts of the Grow in Grace Podcast interview Elizabeth Woodson, author of Embrace Your Life: How to find joy when the life you have is not the life you hoped for. God is faithful even when we don't understand His plan. Lament is an important topic that doesn't get dealt with often in the church and we need to be reminded that Scripture presents prayers of lament for our benefit. The RFP Network is stepping up to give JC, Brian and Nate a month off in the busiest part of their summer.

Tim Lee is no stranger to the IFB world. He has preached in many churches in America across multiple denominations. Tim lost both of his legs in Vietnam, but God had a plan for his life. He has shared the gospel with millions and he has remained faithful to Scripture and his calling. He experience legalism in the IFB firsthand, but God has used him to bring healing across man made divides. He talks about the danger of bitterness and trusting God when people betray you. 

Pastor Jim Cymbala invited the RFP Hosts to his office to talk about his recent ministry that has focused on encouraging pastors. He talks about his story, including mistakes he made along the way, and he encourages all Christians to lean into the power of prayer, the word of God, and the Spirit of God as we live for God's Glory.
