RHP#003. Darryl Edwards, The Fitness Explorer. Paleo Expert. Movement and Play Specialist

Role Model. Legend. Author. Paleo Expert. Public Speaker. Play Encourager. Londoner. Nutritionist. Good buddy. Darryl is the Real McCoy. We could have listened to Darryl Edwards speak for days as we were totally fascinated with everything he had to share and the knowledge he imparted on us Darryl’s ambition in life is to make exercise accessible and fun for everyone to do. He will change how you define exercise, how you structure your workouts and possibly how to approach your life He is a very charismatic man, who bubbles with enthusiasm and bounces around while talking to you which is totally inline with his whole life ethos of play and enjoyment. He certainly is a man of many talents who has explored a spectrum of professions throughout his life….a technologist, a music producer, a professional dancer, a travel hacker, an author, a public speaker and of course the Founder of both The Fitness Explorer and Primal Play. You can only be in awe of people like this In the Podcast we get into the nitty gritty of modern day health issues. Darryl takes us back and explains why ancestral health is something we all need to consider when it comes to our own well being We hear how kids these days live sedentary lifestyles and how they get concerned when they start breathing deeply from playing or walking too fast because it’s a new found ‘experience’ for them! Darryl tells us about his life changing experience during the London train bombings in July 2005 We hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we did. “Redefine your impossible”   Calisthenics Experts. ex-Professional Sportsmen. Best Friends. Business Men. Elite Performance Coaches. Paralympic Specialist Coaches. Strength and Conditioning Experts. This was one awesome, fun and super interesting chat with some seriously cool and genuinely good chinas, Jacko and Tim We were humbled by them agreeing to speak with us and give us a good portion of their time. What we loved about them and their message is that they wholeheartedly believe that everyone is the same and whoever you are, you are able  “Redefine your impossible” Jacko is an ex-professional rugby player. He played for Nottingham Rugby club for 24 years. Unfortunately a serious head injury (one of many) ends his career as a pro-rugby player. Tim also played rugby at a high level and his career ended due to one too many shoulder injuries. He is also a strength and conditioning coach for the British Paralympic Team but together they are the founders of the School of Calisthenics We discuss their childhoods and upbringings, a lot about their injuries, how they end up meeting each other and ultimately how the School of Calisthenics begins. It gets super fascinating when they explain how they train Paralympic athletes and the mindset of athletes with disabilities These boys have great dynamics between themselves and they bring out the fun element in everything they do We hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we did.
