They began the show by discussing Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers’ budget address and how the Wisconsin State legislature felt about it. On Smith’s show UpFront, they heard from Democratic Wisconsin State Senator Kelda Roys for her positive reaction to the budget.
Next, they heard from Republican Wisconsin State Senator Van Wanggaard for his less than stellar reaction to Evers’ budget proposal. They discussed both sides of the political aisle being willing to talk about the budget together.
Steve and Matt briefly discussed Matt’s interview with former Wisconsin politician Tom Barrett after he had recently returned from ambassadorship in Luxembourg.
Steve and Matt listened to another UpFront Clip with Tom Barrett, and they discussed the possible future of his political career, his thoughts on former U.S. President Biden, current President Donald Trump.
Steve asked Matt what he was considering covering and who he was considering interviewing for next Sunday’s UpFront.
