Hey Fandom! Welcome back for another episode of Trash Talk Roundtable with your hosts Rick, Corrina, Tony and Cory! This week we are here to break down The Challenge USA EP10 "A Less Perfect Union". We start off by welcoming back Cory after his long break from the podcast, discuss what it would be like doing Big Brother or Survivor, we discuss Jacob (The Challenge Historian) and Tony's new podcast segment where they will be covering Survivor, the cast of Traitors plus our thoughts on the coming season and last but certainly not least, Cory gives us all a BIG SURPRISE!!! (0:00 - 14:00). Then we break into the episode with our 30,000 foot view of the episode, Death Taxes and Bananas releasing their episode early, and the Survivor girls meeting with Chris. We debate on how Chris might survive, the foreshadowing of Josh and Wes both wanting to make it to the final and why is Wes more terrifying to these cast members than Bananas, Cory or Faysal? Next we discuss the daily and break down our favorite dirty moves made by TJ himself, discuss our thoughts on Chanelle's overall performance, Michaela overcoming her fears to win the daily, Tori cheering on Michaela after losing to her, whether or not we believe rumors that Desi gave the win to Michaela, and what's up with Wes's terrible gameplay these last few seasons (14:00 - 59:00). After the break, we reconvening to discuss Michaela considering putting Tori up as a target, what would happen if Tori did get put up as the main nomination, when we think the Survivor girls are going to turn on each other, Michaela getting gameplay advice from Faysal, why Faysal would have been okay with targeting Tori, and what if Chris pulls another Survivor?! We close out the show discussing Josh's blindside of Wes, why Cassidy is refusing to stray from the Survivor girls, how in the world TJ is lucky enough to pull exactly one man and one woman from the Hopper, why we were disappointed with some of the strategy of the elimination, whether or not Josh was right in being honest with Wes on the spot, Cassidy calling out the "strong girls alliance" and of course, do we think Wes is really retiring this time? This week we are back with another recap of The Challenge USA season 2 where we are going to be breaking down episode 9 "Enemy of the State". We kick off the episode by discussing the changes we had to make to continue on with our journey towards being a full video podcast while also discussing our overall thoughts on episode 9 as well as when the last time we saw a Survivor go home on any version of The Challenge (0:00 - 6:40). Then we break into the episode and discuss why this episode title sounds so familiar, the horrendous foreshadowing of this episode, how shocked we were to see Chris is on the cast, the wild fact that Michaela confronts Chris about his shady alliances right in the middle of the house, and what we think Chris should have done when talking to Michaela. We also discuss what it entails to be in an alliance/have an agreement with someone in the house, whether or not Chris is being treated a little unfairly and why is Fessy suddenly so protective over his Big Brother allies? Also, a breakdown of the daily challenge, our thoughts on cheating/sharing in dailies, how CBS is upgrading The Challenge to be more fair between competitors of different sizes and genders, who we would have liked to see make it through to round two of the daily, how production always does themselves dirty and what we want to see from them to save this season. We also discuss why we were shocked at round 2 of the daily challenge, the unavoidable injuries sustained, why Michele continues to disappoint us, who we were most shocked to see struggle on this daily and Fessy's incredible strategy leading him to his first daily win of the season (6:40 - 36:16). After the break, we return to discuss how everyone's inner monologue has become an outer monologue on this episode, Bananas continued overconfidence in fellow veteran Challengers, Fessy's plan and execution, where Fessy slipped up that may come back to bite him in the butt later, whether or not we think Fessy would actually have the guts to throw Bananas into elimination, why we liked the end result of nominations, why we are so over Cassidy's fits, when it's okay to go back on promises you made in the house and do the top Survivor girls trust Michele and Cassidy the way they trust each other? We also discuss why Sebastian going hard in the paint was the worst thing he could do at this point in his game, Chris overplaying his hand and what we think he should have done instead, the truth behind Chris's game on Survivor Edge of Extinction, why confrontations were happening left and right and of course, Michaela's superior confessionals. To close out the show we break down the Dude Perfect themed elimination, who we think voted for Bananas, whether or not we think the varying strategies for the elimination really made a difference, Sebastian's big mistake, how we think Chris will need to move forward in this game to perhaps save himself, a hilarious story we caught on The Official Challenge Fandom Podcast regarding Tori, Sebastian and TJ as well as our overall thoughts on Sebastian and our MVPs (36:16 - END). This week we are back to single episodes and marking the halfway point of the season with our special mid-season guest, Alex Brizard of Netflix's The Circle and Two Dudes Watch Cartoons podcast. We've always said we are going to learn as we go with you guys, so we ask for grace while we figure out video editing, proper cameras etc. Anyway... we kick off this recap by discussing our new attempt at video (plus, have a laugh at the green alien versions of Rick and Corrina in the first 10 minutes). Then we break into our overall feelings on the season format, debate The Hopper VS Skulls and discuss the entertainment level of this season (0:00 - 17:10). In the first part of the recap, we discuss whether we like teams or individual more, how Amazing Race is always done dirty, Big Brother numbers dwindling and why we love The Survivor girls. Then we begin breaking down the Bananas and Michaela agreement, the different strategies for the daily challenge, whether or not it would have been better to work as a team or individuals for the daily and even point out that this is the same cave some of these Challengers have already competed in! We also discuss post production issues we are having along with our thoughts on this old version of Tori that seems to be resurfacing on this episode (17:10 - 1:11:55). After the break, we dive into the Survivor and Challenge Veteran alliance, who we'd like to see go over to the flagship, who we are missing from the cast this season, our evidence that taking a break is a positive for these Challengers, and the dangers VS benefits of burning votes, especially in this type of format. Next we break down Tori and Bananas nominations, why we're upset Tori and Sebastian got to stay behind from the club, why club scenes are so important, Alyssa Snider targeting Tori's boo, what we think would have happened had Alyssa succeeded in getting Sebastian voted in, whether or not production actually listens to fan's gripes about the show, how in the world Bananas and Tori had completely matching outfits for the elimination and the different strategies used for this elimination by Tyler and Monte. We close out by discussing TJ's varying goodbyes and what they mean, whether or not we think this season is set up for Faysal to win, TJ's "get ready" comment at the end of the episode, MVP's for the episode and our final picks for this season (1:11:55 - 2:42:00). Hey Fandom! Welcome back for another episode of Challenge Trash Talk Roundtable with your OG Hosts Rick, Corrina and Josh. This week we take it back in time to when we first started and break down this double episode series of The Challenge USA season 2 in the only way we know how: by making fun of it all! We kick off with a little ted-talk rant by Rick, discuss how we feel about this season's string of odd episode titles and break down the random blow up between Dusty and Tiffany. We also discuss Wes calling home, the trivia daily challenge plus what we didn't really enjoy about it. Next we break into Wes's political campaign, Tori and Bananas conceding to the rookies on their team during nominations, Cassidy telling Wes he needs a taste of his own medicine, Wes breaking down with Bananas and Dusty at his side and why we think Wes is so blind to what's actually happening politically in the house. Finally we dive into the votes and hopper choice, the varying elimination strategies, fishy workings by production and what we think really happened during Wes and Dusty's elimination (0:00 - 41:43). After our AD break (and our fumble into giggles as a team), we break into episode 7 by discussing yet another terribly titled episode, Wes's out of character speech for fairness in the game, Wes and Cassidy calling a ceasefire on each other, what we think of Wes and Michaela's relationship plus why is she so upset with him?! Then we break into yet another horribly executed daily challenge and discuss why we think this daily was oddly placed in mid season and why was Michele in charge of yet another puzzle for team Red Flag?! After that we break down Tiffany's mental crack, our thoughts on Michaela, Josh and Fessy's Big Brother plan, Tyler accepting being a pawn without any fight back and why the heck are men targeting strong females in the game?! We also discuss an overconfident Bananas, Alyssa S being willing to make it a girl's day in order to save Tyler, Michaela confronting Josh, Desi and Chanelle catching onto Michele's fishy political game, the Drunk Uncles Bananas and Wes and how awkward was the middle school scene at the bar? Lastly we break down the elimination votes, the hopper pick and why we love Tiffany so much! Plus, Tiffany's speech to the men on the cast, why we think TJ was attempting to pump up the crowd into cheering during this elimination, and finally, the twist we've all been expecting all season: the cast is moving into individual format so we discuss how we think this could effect things going forward and make predictions for how the daily winners and nominations/voting will carry on moving forward (41:43 - END). Next we break into recapping episode 4 of The Challenge USA season 2 by discussing our thoughts on Bananas defecting to Blue team, how we felt about him reading Dusty's love letter in his confessional, Josh taking over running the house politically, Desi's big struggle, and our thoughts on this random confessional cam. Finally, we discuss the truth about how this elimination went down, whether or not we think Amanda did well in this elimination or just did the bare minimum, and the potential blow back from Chris and Desi's defect decisions (33:30 - 1:48:15). After our AD break, we discuss episode 5, breaking in with Chris VS Monte and Tyler in the kitchen, how we feel about people complaining about being voted into elimination, and whether or not Desi made the right choice to blindside Wes. We discuss our thoughts on this daily challenge, the different strategies each team took and Blue team's big mistake. Next we break into the nomination drama where Dusty somehow gets grouped in with the Challenge vets, Wes VS Michaela in the Green team nominations, whether or not we think Michaela made the Survivor target even bigger, Cassidy taking Wes's previous nomination personally, our thoughts on the Bachelor contest at the nightclub and why the hell is Bananas still here?! Lastly we break down the Hat Trick Operation by the vets, what we are all missing from the Hopper pull, Cassidy VS Alyssa Lopez, why overconfidence and false bravado doesn't bother Corrina as much as others, Blue team's moral after Cassidy's defect decision and finally close out with Pierre's 4 women MT Rushmore Challengers (1:48:15 - END). Hey Fandom! Welcome back for another episode of Trash Talk Roundtable where your hosts Rick, Corrina and Tony break down the most recent episode(s) of The Challenge. This week we are doing a double recap for episodes 2 and 3 of The Challenge USA season 2 and we have a very special guest! Returning for his second time on our show, Talik Monroe from Mental Health Check-in podcast is with us and we're ready to discuss the good, the bad, the ugly and the funny of this week's double episode run of The Challenge USA 2. We kick off by skipping our normal BS intro and dive right into recapping episode 2 "Blurred Battle Lines. We discuss our feelings on these double episode, the defect twist for the winner of the elim, Amanda's insanely fake drama outbursts, and you even get to hear Corrina be so wrong yet so confident it makes you wonder if maybe she really is right. We also discuss what we imagine training would be like for Michele and Ameerah's elimination round, what we think about Jonna's game style switch up plus what her biggest mistake was, the development of the Secret Garden alliance and how we feel about the rookies running the vets out of this game. Last we breakdown the daily, Tori buttering up Amanda, what Rick is missing most from this season, Desi standing her ground against one of the most decorated and experienced veterans of the game, Tiffany dropping a burn vote to save her relationship with Jonna, full contact Plinko elimination and what we think would have happened if Tori had defected.... to Amanda's spot (0:00 - 1:03:06). For episode 3 we kick off with some better episode titles that we feel would have suited the episode better than "Civil War" plus we give our thoughts on some of the random allegiances that are occurring and we discuss how much our views of Paulie Calafiore have changed with this season. Then we break down the daily (per usual) and discuss where red messed up, why blue's strategy was the most effective, Michele cracking under pressure while Paulie leads the red team, Amanda riding the backs of people far superior to her (per usual) and why in the heck can't team Green figure out how to distribute their weight to properly capsize this boat?! Last we dive into Alyssa Lopez's incredible strategy to take control of Cory's vote, run the nominations for team Blue to ensure vets continue to get put in and completely decimating every fan out there with her comments to Tori Deal. Finally, we break down Johnny Banana's toddler temper tantrum, Amanda's big mistake, Paulie getting called into an elimination against Bananas that is eerily similar to the last elimination they did against each other plus what we thought of Paulie's exit, our predictions for whether or not Bananas will defect on the next episode and of course we give our "Line of the Night", "Best Confessional-ist" and "MVP"s. This week, The Challenge USA season 2 premiered so we are BACK on our normal grind recapping episodes. We kick off the episode catching up a little bit but mainly talking about our overarching thoughts on the premier episode and the format for the game (0:00 - 7:50). Then we break into the recap by discussing our thoughts on the intro including how we feel about having fellow fans compete on the show, Paulie's return (and intriguing outfit choices), foreshadowing of the episode, and what was going on with those voiceovers in the preview for the season?! We also discuss our thoughts on the Hopper, how the team captains were chosen, draft order and what we think the real reason that Josh didn't draft Bananas was. Next we break down the daily including Ameerah not helping her team carry the statue, the cart crash where we almost got a squished Banana and even team Blue almost dropping their statue on TJ's head (7:50 - 47:50). Lastly we deep dive into the nomination process, the Blue and Red team alliance, Jonna changing up her game style from All Stars and who we really blame for the same thing happening over and over again every season. We wrap it up by discussing what we loved most about this episode, where we think they went wrong with the cliffhanger, what our "Line of the Night" was and we even created a new award called "Best Confessional-ist Giver" and of course we award that as well amongst a bunch of other predictions for how they might add a twist later on in the game! Overall we enjoyed this premier episode and we enjoyed being back in action recapping together and we hope you all enjoy it too. Hey Fandom! Welcome back for another episode of Challenge Trash Talk Roundtable with your hosts Rick, Corrina, Tony, Josh and Cory! That's right, we have a full house on this one! Fair warning: We recorded this episode approximately 6 weeks ago. Since then one of the girls we talked about on this episode made some choices that have been very controversial amongst the fanbase so to avoid becoming involved in something we have nothing to do with, we have chosen to omit that person's name from this podcast. Other than that, we hope you all really enjoy this one as this will be our last Roundtable discussion episode of this long break before we get back to recapping as USA2 is about to start! But we're not here to talk about USA 2. Today we sat down to discuss which rookies we would want to see back. To give ourselves a Challenge, we decided to only look at players who appeared on 2 seasons or less, did not win a final and appeared somewhere between season 20 and season 35. But before we break into the Rookie talk, we break down some of our predictions for the next year, what we think is going to happen with the worlds/international versions of The Challenge and Cory tells us just how bad his road rage is (0:00 - 17:00). Then we talk about the girls first discussing a variety of people from Georgia Harrison, Da'Vonne Rogers, Devyn Simone, Briana LaCuesta, Heather Cooke, Alicia Wright, Faith Stowers, Bayleigh Dayton and more. We also break down our top 3 for the men and discuss Challengers such as ASAF, Isaac Stout, Ashley Cain, Mike Ross, Victor Arroyo, Marlon Williams, CJ Koegel, Brandon Swift and more (17:00 - 1:15:30). Hey Fandom! Welcome back for another episode of Challengers Unplugged where your hosts Rick, Corrina, Tony and Josh take you beyond the edit with some of your favorite Challengers and reality stars. This week we have a very special guest joining us all the way from Australia, Troy Cullen! Troy was such a joy to have on and learn more about his life and his approach to these games. We start out with the basics like where he was born and raised, what he wanted to be when he was younger, his passions as a child, history as a reality TV fan for shows like Ninja Warrior and The Challenge as well as how he got on Ninja Warrior. We dive deep into his two appearances on Ninja Warrior including the alliances he had, the bet he made for his second appearance and what he learned about himself overall. Troy shares his experience of crossing over onto The Challenge Australia including some behind the scenes info on the alliance breakdown, what really went down with him, Kiki and Emily, BBQ fight night, the infamous pole wrestle moving straight into the Australian final and what he did with his Australian winnings! Then we break into World Championship and discuss his time with Amber Borzatra, being the only one to know she was pregnant and having to keep it a secret for months, what he thinks about the Fandom's opinion on Kaycee's personality, what he would have changed about his game, which partners he wanted the most, who he would pick if he could go back and do it again, his Hall Brawl with Yes and then running the final with Kaycee. Troy shares so much behind the scenes moments and information including what was really going on with Kaycee during the World Championship final and a few unaired moments including a steamy hookup in the back of the bus which caused a GoPro to be put on all future bus rides plus so much more! Troy truly shared so much of his life, thoughts and opinions with us and we couldn't be more grateful to have had this chance to get to know Troy better.
