#061 Gregg Troy & Jackson Leonard

Jackson Leonard swam for Coach Troy at the University of Florida but not for long. After his Freshman year he hung up his suit for coaching and worked for the team as one of the team managers.  Jackson was given Coach Chuck Warner and Dana Abbot's book about Coach Eddie Reese which sparked his interest in writing a book about Coach Gregg Troy... PRE-ORDER NOW ON AMAZON -- BOOK COMES OUT AUGUST 24th "Gregg Troy: It's Never Easy. Leadership, Swimming, and the Value of Challenging Work" Friday Flyday. If you've got a stable of distance swimmers, you need to be a great distance coach. If you've got a stable of sprinters, you need to be a great sprint coach. Learning from watching -- especially Alexander Popov and Gennadi Touretski. What do people not know about Ryan Lochte & Caeleb Dressel? When Lochte walks out as part of an 800 Free Relay he's always the shortest. When Dressel walks out as part of a 400 Free Relay, he's always the shortest. They can both dunk a basketball. They both make practice more challenging. What happened in 2017? Why the blip in performance from Caeleb? Brett thanks Gregg for all he has done for the sport and being a fierce competitor at his time at Auburn. Are the Olympics going to happen? Can Lochte get back to the Olympics? Can Dressel execute under the pressure in all these events? Subscribe, Review, Share!
