68. Permission to Slow Down & Do Things On Your Terms

Out of everything I’ve learned over the years of running a business, there’s one thing I wish I could go back and give myself the permission to do when I first started: Not turning everything I learn immediately into content for my business.Once I gave myself this permission, not only did it impact my business success and my bottom line, my mental health improved. I didn’t realize how exhausting it was, but once I took a step back and slowed things down, it was clear to me that this isn’t a good approach to business. I’m going to share why I think this is such a bad idea, why it’s important to give yourself permission to do something different, and what you can do instead. In this episode, you’ll hear…01:34 - The cycle of learning and teaching05:04 - Giving yourself permission to not teach everything you learn07:57 - Learning and growing in parallel10:52 - Sharing information with purpose13:27 - Fighting the race to cheapen contentClick here to find the full show notes and transcript for this episode.RESOURCES:Get Sam's EmailsClick here to watch the free workshop so you can get legally protected right now!Resources & Links:If you’d like a shoutout (and a chance to win a $20 gift card), just leave a review on Apple Podcasts and send a screenshot of it to me on Instagram via DMs!Read Sam's Blog for the latest legal tips, podcast episodes & behind the scenes of building her seven-figure business.Listen to our customer stories to see how getting legally legit has helped 1,000s of entrepreneurs grow their own businesses.Follow us on social media: Sam on Instagram, Facebook, On Your Terms on Instagram Subscribe and follow on all podcast platforms and activate notifications for new episodesKajabi // use Kajabi to sell your course, program, or even build your entire website. List building advice is everywhere these days—from putting pop-ups on your website to creating “opt-ins” that give people a reason to sign up—but most of them don’t actually help you figure out how to get people to give you their email address.
