67: K-fume Is About To Be A Thing
South Korea has proved to be a triple threat with K-beauty, K-pop, and K-dramas putting us all in a cultural chokehold within the last decade. And yet... what about K-perfume? K-Fragrance? K-Scent? WELL. Meet ELOREA, a new fragrance brand pioneering the way for K-fumes. Co-founders Wonny Lee and Su Min Park join us on this episode to tell us all about ELOREA, its humble beginnings, inspirations, and unique ingredients and notes sourced from Korea.

66: What Does Love Smell Like?
It takes your hosts 40 whole-ass minutes to answer the goddamn question but they get there.
Preceding that, a lot of hot goss: What even is love? Are we all doomed? How many people have been personally victimized by Dior Sauvage? Will this fragrance finally allow Sable to manifest her dreams? Why does Tynan always shower alone? Is it live, laugh, love? Or love, laugh, live? Does she who loves life get the last laugh? Tune in to find out.
We dissect love, dating, romance, anxiety, neurosis, and OK YES eventually the smells of it all, in this, The 2022 Valentine's Episode.

65: The Angel Legacy: From 'Shit On Shit' To The God Of Gourmands
Mugler Angel is one of the most famous fragrances ever. The iconic star-shaped bottle is instantly recognizable as is its scent — unapologetically sweet, sticky, hot, and heavy. It gets in your nose, your eyes, your mouth, and sets up shop in your brain with all its gooey, candy-like floof. Its overwhelmingly abundant make-up is what we affectionately refer to as "shit on shit." You either love it or can't stand it.
There's more to her than just dozens upon dozens of notes and accords, though, as we've learned and you can too, in this episode — like the genesis of the fragrance, what untraditional ingredients made it not just another fragrance but an innovation of what fragrance could be, what inspired the bottle, how many takes it took to get the scent right, and just how many goddamn flankers its spawned (a lot).

64: The Most Intimidating Fragrance Shop In New York
Deep in the Lower East Side, you will find New York City's own Temple Of Beauty, AKA Aedes Perfumery. The artisanal fragrance boutique has carried some of Europe's most elite brands under one roof since 1995. We talk to co-founder Robert Gerstner, who along with his co-founder Karl Bradl, opened one of New York City's most unique fragrance boutiques, which brings some of Europe's best artisanal scents to the states. Gerstner shares some fragrance-shopping insight, like why the coffee bean smell-reset thing is bullshit, what you should actually smell to neutralize your nose when testing lots of fragrances, and why you should get over fragrance shopping intimidation. Also, Naomi Campbell's eyedrops of choice.
Also pertinent: Aedes De Venustas, the shop's house line of fragrances, offers some of the most exquisite scents this side of the Atlantic — a bit of European sophistication and flair handmade in New York with the energetic attitude that this city imbues unto all those who dare make a name for themselves here.

63: Our Deepest Italian Emotions
Your spoiled hosts have been holding out on you. We get SO many scents sent (jinx!) to us that we often don't have time to discuss them on the pod without derailing the whole episode. So this is an episode dedicated to the scents (fine fragrance and otherwise) that have enchanted and captivated us as of late.

62: Auld Lang Smells: The 2022 Of It All
It's a brand new year, which doesn't actually mean... a thing. BUT we do have our first episode of 2022 kicking off with our made-up scent resolutions AKA the "ins" and "outs" of smells and scents, plus, as it turns out, lots of things that have nothing to do with either.

End of year lists are here and we are no better than all the other self-appointed clout contenders out there in the mediasphere, so in the spirit of the end of 2021, your hosts are reviewing the past year in smells and giving you strictly anecdotal ranked and unranked recollections from memory: their top, most, and best smells and smell-makers of the year.
