Is sleep training the answer? How Steph is planning for baby no.2 - KICBUMP with Dr Billy Garvey
This week it’s all about sleep! With baby number two on the way, Steph has been thinking about how she’ll approach sleep this time around and if she & Josh will use the same techniques as they used with Harvey. To help - Steph sat down with developmental paediatrician (and KICBUMP fave!) Dr Billy Garvey. Billy is a senior specialist at one of Australia’s largest tertiary paediatric hospitals with over 20 years experience working with families and children and is the father of a three-year-old and one-year-old. In this episode they share their own experiences of sleep training and some of the moments they’re less proud of, before getting into some of the practical steps to a good night’s sleep, including routines, different methods of sleep training, sleep hygiene, teaching sleep as a skill, plus taking the pressure off both kids and parents.
