On today’s episode, Seth speaks with SharónLynn Wyeth, Neimeologist. Neimeology is the study of the placement of letters in a name, and how they interact with each other to divulge natural tendencies in someone's character. Sharón uses this analysis to help others to find the best partnering, from relationships to seating charts. Her method has gained recognition from celebrities such as Oprah. Sharón talks about how this science can be applied to your business from hiring needs to employee reviews. Even the how the very words you choose can influence a certain outcome when speaking to others. Sharón graduated from the University of Redlands with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics at the age of twenty. She began teaching that same year in a public Junior High School in California. During her three years there, she obtained her Master of Arts degree from Azusa-Pacific University in education administration with an emphasis in math. Sharón initially taught in California before moving to Germany where she taught for the Department of Defense Schools. She continued to move around as she married an Air Force soldier. She was fortunate to always find a teaching job in each location. After Germany came Texas, and then Japan. Eventually she would also teach in New Mexico, Nebraska, Washington state and China, besides being a high school administrator in both Texas and Oregon. She retired as a high school principal in 2002, only to come out of retirement in January 2008 to become involved in schools for an additional two and a half years. It was during her time in the schools that she linked the patterns in names to a person's mindset or personality. She worked on figuring out the patterns of the different letters for fifteen years before she fully comprehended all of the nuances. Sharón took the opportunity to travel a large part of the world testing her theories for the first three years after leaving the education field. They talk about being YouTube and Facebook influencers and monetizing their success, and what they are looking to do for future endeavors. Penn Holderness is an 18-year veteran of the TV business. Since college (UVA) he’s been a sports director in Colorado and Orlando, a TV host for Designer Finals, an ESPN Reporter, and most recently a news anchor in Raleigh. And after those 18 years, he’s decided that he isn’t really interested in about half of the things he talked about on the news. So, he quit! He now runs a video production/digital marketing company Walk West, formerly Greenroom Communications, and is using this blog to showcase the 100% of things he actually cares about. Penn is married to Kim Dean Holderness (who is also his business partner at Walk West). That means that work arguments are taken personally which has led Kim to perfect the art of passive aggressive behavior. Kim was a television news reporter, most recently at Inside Edition in New York. They have two kids, Lola and Penn Charles.
