#112 There's a Zoo in my Poo with Professor Felice Jacka

Professor Felice Jacka is Director of the Food & Mood Centre at Deakin University. She is also founder and president of the International Society for Nutritional Psychiatry Research (ISNPR) and immediate past president of the Australian Alliance for the Prevention of Mental Disorders. Professor Jacka’s current research focuses closely on the links between diet, gut health, and mental and brain health.  Professor Jacka has published >160 peer-reviewed scientific papers, the majority in high-impact journals in the mental health field including the American Journal of Psychiatry and Lancet Psychiatry. She is listed in the top ten most highly-cited researchers in mood disorders in Australia (Scopus).  She has also written a book for the public called ‘Brain Changer’ through Pan Macmillan press in Australia (available internationally through Amazon). Dr Kate Gregorevic is a geriatrician and internal medicine physician. She has also completed a PhD looking at the impact of positive psychosocial factors in the development of frailty in older adults.  Lifestyle medicine is a core feature of Kate's clinical practice, and nutrition, exercise and sleep are integral to developing plans to optimise her patients' health. Her approach goes beyond physical, by working with people to identify their own priorities and values. Professor Morgan is a Gumilaroi man from Walgett western NSW. He is a highly respected and acknowledged Aboriginal educator/researcher who has worked extensively throughout Australia and internationally in the field of Aboriginal knowledge and learning for over forty years. Professor Morgan is currently Chair of the Board of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies, Education and Research (BATSIER) and also serves, as Conjoint Professor with the Wollotuka Institute with the University of Newcastle (UON).  He is the inaugural Chair of the Council of the World Indigenous Peoples Conference on Education (WIPCE), and a national board member of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine. Professor Lorimer Moseley is a clinical scientist investigating pain in humans. After posts at The University of Oxford, UK, and the University of Sydney, Lorimer was appointed Professor of Clinical Neuroscience and Chair in Physiotherapy at the University of South Australia. He is also Senior Principal Research Fellow at NeuRA and an NHMRC Principal Research Fellow. He leads the Body in Mind Research Group, based at the University of South Australia which investigates the role of the brain and mind in chronic pain.  He has published over 310 papers, six books for clinicians and patient workbooks, and numerous book chapters/.
