Binge eating disorder - can God really help?
We’re BACK on set with Samantha and Justin to talk about BINGE EATING DISORDER. It’s very likely that someone in your social circle has struggled with a mental disorder (or food disorder) in one way or another. Today we want to talk about the signs, how to cope, and the reasons behind the need to binge.
Samantha talks about how growing up, she was a perfectionist. She wanted to have good grades, refrain from harmful activities, and be seen as a “good kid.” So when things got stressful, she would resort to eating lots and lots of food to mask the stresses of her life. She talks about how it almost would feel better to be able to blame herself for the pain she had caused rather than an external source that she couldn’t control.

Why Mormons talk about the 'twelve tribes of Israel'
Okay, well admit it... We weren't crazy familiar with the 12 tribes of Israel going into this episode. BUT in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (otherwise known as the Mormon Church), you might hear the twelve tribes of Israel referred to in patriarchal blessings and so forth.
In this episode, we talk about the twelve tribes, their responsibilities, and why it's so commonly mentioned in the Church of Jesus Christ.
Kwaku talks about his patriarchal blessing mentioning that he is from the tribe of Abraham. David then talks more about the history of the twelve tribes and how they came to be.

Who is Heavenly Mother?? | Interview with McArthur Krishna
In this episode, we get to interview the fabulous McArthur Krishna!! McArthur wrote a book about Heavenly Mother after much research and WOW, she has some incredible information that you don’t want to miss.
In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we believe in Heavenly Mother and Heavenly Father. We mostly refer to Heavenly Father as “God” and don’t speak much about Heavenly Mother. However, McArthur points to lots of information about Heavenly Mother that we may have skimmed over.

Why is toxic perfectionism found in religion SO OFTEN?
Okay, first of all, WELCOME TO THE CHANNEL, SAMANTHA!! Samantha will be on more episodes so if you have questions for her, shoot us a DM on Instagram and she'll respond in a future video!
This episode is about a difficulty that most people will feel some time in their life. So let's talk about it! In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (also called the Mormon Church), perfectionism is quite common. The communities are close-knit and the members of the Church are instructed to be "perfect like Jesus Christ is perfect." This search for perfection isn't restricted to Mormonism, however. Many religions teach the need to improve and strive for a more perfect life. In this episode, we talk about many aspects of perfectionism.

Interview with a Mormon and an Evangelical!
In this episode, David gets the incredible opportunity to interview the Christian movie director, Dallas Jenkins. Dallas is an Evangelical Christian. When he decided to work with VidAngel (a Utah based company which was started by a few Latter-day Saints) to distribute his series about Jesus, it brought together people with different perspectives on Christ, which helped grow their faith. With the help of his crew, Dallas came up with the first-ever multi-season show on the stories and life of Jesus Christ. YOU WILL LOVE IT.

Do Mormons Know World Religions? 😬
Pew Research conducted a study that ranked religions according to their knowledge of world religions. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (otherwise known as the Mormon Church) didn't do as well as we thought. So, we decided to take a few tests to determine our knowledge. The hosts had no knowledge of the questions prior to filming. Their responses are genuine.

What exactly are “saving ordinances?"
What in the world is a saving ordinance? It’s important to first understand what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints means by “ordinance.” Ordinances are sacred, formal acts that hold spiritual significance. These ordinances are performed under the authority of the priesthood (the power and authority that God gives to act in His name). Ordinances can include (but not always) making covenants with God.
Now that we know about ordinances, what is a “saving” ordinance? Okay, first of all, members of the church use the word “saving” a little different than many other Christian denominations. Saving doesn’t mean that if you aren’t involved in the ordinances, that you will go to hell. They are better explained as “exalting ordinances.”

Will my family DISOWN me if I leave the Mormon Church?
We often see this comment (or a variation of this comment) in our YouTube comments. The comment is, "Mormons will disown you if you disagree with/choose to leave the Church!!" It's a bold claim but is it true?
Okay, this is a sensitive topic. There are certainly people who have chosen to leave the church and were then ostracized by their families. And we don't want to ignore their experiences. Being ostracized by your own family is incredibly hard and shouldn't occur, especially if it's solely based on your decision to distance yourself from the church. However, the current teachings from the leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints state that we should always choose to love our family members (and all people) in word and in deed. We should not disown members of our family for leaving the Church!

Why do Mormons say these things?!
Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (otherwise known as Mormons) have some HILARIOUS jargon! Almost all of the things we mention in this video have been said for decades and just haven't stopped. David proposes that we should put a stop to the crazy stuff Mormons say. Whether or not you're a member of the Church, you'll probably think these words/phrases are hilarious as well.
